Say Anything...

I absolutely loved! this movie. It was fantastic, I've watched it three times since I chose it. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it because most 80's movies that I watch, I watch them because the story line sounds appealing. The blurb for Say Anything... is about a boy who spends the summer with a girl before she has to go to England for university. I thought, yeah okay I'll give this a go cause it's got John Cusack in it, but I wasn't expecting it to be anything special. What a surprise!  The story goes along the classic plot of star-crossed lovers; he can't have her cause she's moving away, she can't have him cause her father doesn't approve. The genre of the film was a romantic comedy. This fits perfectly with the film because the light hearted comedy and romance made it possible for the many dramatical issues to be deemed enjoyable to watch. The movie was intruiging and exciting with a cliche romantic ending that convinced you that you had a great time watching the movie.
